Welcome to the 2025 edition of the Aberystwyth Football 7s Tournament! Below you will find important details to help you register your team, understand the tournament structure, and prepare for the event.

Entry Fee: £120 per team

Max squad: 12 players (7-a-side format with rolling subs)

4 groups of 6 teams (Men), 2 groups of 6 (Women)

Top 2 from each group: CUP playoffs

3rd & 4th: SHIELD playoffs

5th: SPOON playoff
-
6th: Eliminated
-
15-min league matches, 20-min knockout (2x10min)

No offsides, no kicking from hand by goalkeeper

Golden goal + penalties in knockout draws

Size 5 ball, standard 7-a-side goals

CUP Winners: £100 bar tab, trophy, and free entry next year

SHIELD Winners: £75 bar tab and trophy

SPOON Winners: £50 bar tab and trophy
Conduct & Rules

Qualified referees on all pitches - zero tolerance for abuse

Alcohol is strictly prohibited on site

Red cards = suspension, 2 yellows = red

Shin pads are mandatory
